Yokota Church of Christ has had a very long history from 1958, when military brethren met for worship at the chapel on base.  As the congregation grew in size and the desire to evangelize in the Japanese community as well grew, plans were made and funds were raised to construct a building outside the Yokota base.  The current location on Hiway 16 has been the home of the congregation since 1959 when the first building was built.

After 50 years of basically keeping up and repairing the aging structure, the brethren finally were able to raise funds for a new facility and the process of tearing down the old building and building the new building began in 2008, being completed in April 2009.  The following photo albums show the building being torn down, then the new building being constructed.
